Convert Durable Plastics to Renewable Materials

The production and disposal of plastics emits as much greenhouse gas emissions as nearly 200 coal-fired power plants. But using renewable resources, such as the leftovers from forestry and farming, can replace fossil carbon in plastics. Such biobased plastics have a much lower carbon footprint.

For more than a decade, Defend Our Health Action has worked with our partner Defend Our Health to attract investment in new technologies to convert woody biomass into renewable chemicals, bioplastics, and biofuels. We aim to revitalize rural communities, create good jobs, and slow climate change.

Take action for renewable materials!
